Point to Ponder: Day 22

This is a concept that I have been thinking about a lot lately. I always knew that it was true but it never felt right. I wanted to be me, not someone else, not even Jesus. But over the past few months I have come to understand that to become like Jesus is to become who I really am.

Jesus lived life exactly how God wanted Jesus to live. Jesus lived how God created Jesus to live.

The more I am true to myself, the more I live how God wants me to live, the more I become like Jesus.

In fact becoming like Jesus is becoming who I was meant to be.

Jesus shows us what it means to be truly human.

Jesus shows us who we truly are.

I have incorporated this understanding of Jesus and humanity into my theology of heaven and salvation. I will speak more on this in the coming weeks. Until then remember:
